Long work hours are no longer a valid excuse to remain unfit. If you are creative,there are oppurtunities for exercise everywhere.All it takes is planning and motivation to steal some minutes from your busy life for the sake of your body.
Follow these tips to keep fit while working-
1.For great abs,exhale and pull in your navel as much as you can.Hold your breath for 10 seconds.Do this 3 times a day,10 times each.
2.Every couple of hours,point and flex your toes.This will take away the stress from your calf muscles.
3.Sitting in your chair,raise your legs upwards while keeping them together.This works on the muscles of your thigs.If you hold the position for a couple of seconds it would also work out the abdominal muscles.
4.Do shoulder rotation exercises both ways and look up at the ceiling for a few seconds every hour to take away stress from your neck.
5.Every hour look away from the screen for 30 seconds to give your eyes a break.
6.Get a pedometer to measure the number of steps you take in a day.Try to aim at 10,000 steps,you could improve your count by just taking the stairs instead of the elevator while going to office.
7.Set an alarm for every hour to remind you to stand up and move around.Just swing your arms to take a deep breath.Walk to get water every time you need it,instead of keeping a bottle next to you.Walk up and down the staircase.Use the restroom on another floor and take the stairs.
8.Take some time off to walk around the office building.Even 10 minutes of activity thrice a day will help you maintain your weight.
